Ojos Del Mar is the result of combining two high quality approaches to optometry into one comprehensive eye care experience. Renowned for her expertise in dry eye and specialty contact lenses, Co-Owner, Dr. Roya Habibi, spent the last 10 years developing a comprehensive training program for Optometrists based on one thing and one thing only; providing the very best eye care experience possible. Our clinics are staffed by highly skilled and licensed Costa Rican optometrists who are personally trained by Dr. Habibi, resulting in the ultimate patient care experience.
Dr. Roya Habibi
Owner / Trainer - OD, FAAO, FSLS
As the owner of Ojos Del Mar, Dr. Habibi oversees all clinical operations and created Ojos Del Mar's in-house Fellowship Training program that supports our licensed Costa Rican Optometrsists' with invaluable training to pursue their dreams. She earned her doctorate from UC Berkeley and fellowship training at Oregon Health and Sciences University. She has lectured around the world on various topics including dry eye disease and advanced contact lens fitting and is the co-host of TryNot2Blink, the world’s largest Optometry podcast, with thousands of active doctors learning from her every week. For years, Dr. Habibib has and continues to be a globablly reconized authority on speciality contact lens fitting and Keratoconus, and most was voted Seattle's Top Doctor, by a vote of her peers, back to back in 2020 and 2021.
Dr. Habibi combines modern science and research-based holistic treatments to help her patients achieve improved vision and find lasting comfort. Dr. David is the lead optometrist at Ojos Del Mar and the third Fellow in our esteemed Advanced Fellowship Program. This program is designed to elevate the skills of optometrists pursuing advanced subspecialty training, with a focus on complex dry eye management and medically necessary contact lenses.Raised in Grecia, Costa Rica, Dr. David completed his optometry and contact lens licensure at Universidad Latina de Costa Rica. He is committed to continual learning and stays current with the latest techniques, technologies, and evidence-based practices to ensure every patient receives the highest quality, personalized, and reliable eye care.
